Beta Alpha forming alumni chapter!
 

The U. MD. Beta Alpha chapter has started an alumni chapter! Basic logistics have been taken care of; we are waiting for the charter to go through. We are currently looking for any / all interested alumni located in the DC / MD / VA area to join our group. Our next meeting will be on March 5, 2006 and we already have events scheduled for April and September, so if you happen to be one of those alumni, or know someone in the area who might be interested, please contact me (Sarah Shaffer, secretary) soon! Update: The March meeting went well. Our next event is the UMD annual Ag Day on April 29, 2006 (starting at 10:00). Any alumni in the area are welcome to come have fun, meet us, and meet the local active Sigma Alphas too! SA-sponsored activities include informative booth, cake and basket auction, and the chapter's annual Kiss-A-Pig competition. The rest of the university joins in on the fun too, with events, games, a livestock show, a horse show, food, and informative displays around the entire campus.
