Beware

Ok Delta Zeta ladies...I posted this in the General forum but I thought I would post here too...

I was just randomly online with Yahoo messenger when I received a message from klannel1...she says she was a Delta Zeta alum from AZ. Thinking nothing of it I chatted with this lady. The first thing she asks me is if I like photography. Red flag number one. Then she told me that she photographs models and sent me the pics of half naked women and one of a naked man. WTF? red flag two. Then she proceeds to ask me if I have photos, then I try to change the subject and ask her where she was a DZ at. She tells me Ariz State. Low and behold I just remembered reading our latest Lamp of Delta Zeta and the Pi Zeta chapter was just installed at Ariz State. She said she graduated 2 years ago. There wasn't even a chapter then. While trying to talk about sorority she consistently talked about this man's size and whatnot. Psycho I think. How can someone just randomly come up with something like I'm a Delta Zeta and do that. So watch out for this lady-Sandy McNeil. I called her out on the Pi Zeta installation and I'm still waiting on a response...red flag again!
Sorry for the long thread!

And you're sure this was a female you were messaging with?

Yes..most certain it was a female. I looked at her profile and the photo is a female. All she could talk about was the size of the guy in the photo.

Sisters,

Please be very careful when chatting with strangers online. Just because someone's profile indicates that they are a certain gender, age, race, etc. does not make it so. I could put my brother's photo in my profile just as easily as I could one of myself... and a male sexual predator could easily use a female's name and photo in his profile to make you feel more at ease when trying to contact you.

Please do not ever give out personal information about yourself online such as where you live or work. Internet predators are everywhere, and I want all of you to stay safe. :)

Turtle Hugs,

That's why I love the "block" feature on IM. :)
