Pillows
 

I'm not sure if this is the place for this but I was wondering how to make those cute pillows for Big/Little...my sorority have NEVER made them...but i really like how they look....please let me know...and if this isn't the right place for this topic, can you please point me in the right direction...thanks!

I've also heard of these pillows being used during pref parties so that the PNMs can actually get a chance to see a pin close up and appreciate what might be theirs if they join that chapter.

Pillows aren't hard or expensive to make if you have a little sewing knowledge. You need two pieces of fabric (a little bigger than you want the pillow to be) and cotton batting. You can also get lace or ribbon to decorate the pillow with. Sew the two pieces of fabric together with the "finished" side of the fabric facing in (the pillow is inside out). Before you sew the fourth side, turn the pillow right side out and stuff batting through the open side. Sew the fourth side closed--you have to be much more careful now because the sewn side will be on the outside. Then decorate!

That's how I did mine when I got my little way back when......

I think my chapter uses theirs during one of the days of recruitment but they are all way too big to use as a pin pillow (more measured in feet rather than inches)......

Back in the day, we used to give pillows out as a favor at Preference. We made white felt pillows with lace trim and our letters on them. It was a lot of work to make them all, but we just sewed them on a machine.

So i have another question....lol...you probably all think im crazy....

ok so my Little is taking a Little and I either wanted to make or get really cute family shirts(for me, my little and my soon to be grand little)..what would you suggest it say (my sorority doesn't do this either)

I have seen... XYZ Grand Big XYZ Big, ABC Little

or

just Grand Big, Big, Little...


are there any more suggestions?? what works best...thanks in advance....and thanks for all the pillow ideas! xoxo

Family letters
 

At my chapter of initiation, the tradition was that you got your first letters from your big at Initiation. That was when you got your family letters--letters in a fabric that each member of the family had. It was really cool. :)
