Choosing Celibacy???
 

I think this is an important topic......
Especially with all the sex thats been goin on around me lately

Lets jus say i was living my 20something single life in a safe yet slightly premiscuous way i got the shock of my life.....
my now 14 year old cuzzin was datin a 19 year old kid.....
so now not only to prove to her that the lifestyle i lead isn't ideal for someone especially of her age....and especially wit a 19 year old kid.....i have decided to be chaste.....

the idea came up when my gurlfriend brought it to my attention that this was goin to be her new years resolution and i thought it would be good.....not only for me as a rolemodel for my cuzzin BUT....that now when i meet someone i can see if hes real or not....and i can start a relationship that will be meaningful and i will kno for sure its not only sex based.....

id like some feedbak from members.....especially because this blog is frequented by ladiez

I am entirely confused as to why your first thought was to ask the ladies of AKA about this... but OK.

If you're looking for a serious answer, I don't think there's anything wrong with choosing to avoid sexual activity in a new relationship. It will probably save you a lot of trouble and heartbreak if you're casually dating. However, I do not think that your 14 year old cousin will be particularly influenced by your choice. And what are you going to do if you meet a GOOD guy? I think realistically, without a strong moral/religious reason for your abstinence, you'll find it very difficult to avoid sex after several months of a relationship.

I don't see where it is a problem. If the person wants to start a topic here, it's okay (as long as we haven't discussed it before). Celibacy is general topic. Anyone who wants to respond can.
