Two more WVa Mine Accidents
Two more mine accidents happened today in West Virginia:
The first one was at a strip mine. A man was driving some sort of machinery, and it hit a gas line and exploded. This was at the Black Castle mine in Boone County. The second accident occured at the Number 18 Tunnel mine, in Kanawha county, when a support popped loose in the mine. Gov. Joe Manchin is seeking to shut down all WV mines until they can all be inspected. http://www.herald-dispatch.com/apps/.../NEWS/60201007 16 deaths in one month. We haven't lost this many miners in one year in more than a decade, let alone on month. |
It's about time! One accident is one too many; does that make four? Too scary!!
