Anyone work in the auto insurance biz?
I can't find who provides "stated value" insurance on cars. Anyone have any idea? The morons at Geico consider my car to be worth $1000 at the most because it's 40 years old and won't let me set the value.

I don't work in insurance, nor am I in your area, but my neighbor has a classic car and had to find a specialist in classic car insurance. Check the yellow pages...

But to get classic car insurance you need to lock it up in your own garage, not drive over 5K (and even that policy is hard to get since most go much less), and have another car that would be classified as your primary car. I can get around the first two, but unless I buy a piece of junk for $200 and have it sit on the street and insure it, I can't get around that third requirement. I might end up buying a junk car for that reason but it's a hassle. Classic car insurance providing full coverage is only about $250 a year btw. -Rudey |
