Blues Benefit for Sigma Brothers Family
 

Dear Sigma Brothers,


My name is Maurice J. Barnes, I am a Sigma (Fall 87, Chi Chapter) and a father of 1-year-old twins, one of whom is very ill and a disabled wife.

I am writing you this letter about my son CJ (Clarence Joseph) Barnes and a I am sending you this email in reference to a Blues Benefit concert on Friday 02/10/2006 at Earthlink Live. This event is the largest performance at a major venue for top Atlanta Metro bands in over 5 years. The event is to raise funds for twin 1-year-old boys named CJ and Victor. Shortly after CJ was born, he contracted a terrible infection that destroyed a large portion of his intestines. Since his birth, CJ has had over 8 operations and at least 17 blood transfusions. In addition, my wife Patrice suffered Congestive Heart Failure due to the strain of carrying the twins. I am reaching out to you because we need help. We are short $1,350 top make this event a reality.
