I was 8 years old at the time, and probably practicing piano, since I had a lesson the next day. I knew about her, because I was going to Catholic school at the time, and she was in our morning prayers for about two weeks. We also discussed her story in our "current events" period.

Apparently she has a trust fund that she'll have access to when she turns 25, consisting of over a million dollars sent to her by random people after she fell down the well. People give money to the weirdest causes.

I wish I could get a million dollars for being a stupid baby that fell down a hole.

I was 7. I remember watching and all that and being so happy when they got her out.

I also mostly remember her in Michael Jackson's video I think for "Man in the Mirror".

Those where my thoughts exactly. The age difference is a bit much. With such a windfall, why didn't she go to college? I don't think the story ever mentioned that.
