Sigma Gamma Rho Member Honored on New Postage Stamp
 

The late Hattie McDaniel, an Academy Award winner, is honored on a new postage stamp. Among those at the ceremony to launch the new stamp was an officer of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., of which McDaniel was a member. Press release is at:

wow, that's pretty cool! Being on a stamp is a pretty distinct honor. Congratulations to Sigma Gamma Rho (and I bet a lot will be buying sheets when they come out!)

I always look forward to seeing who is gonna be on the Black Heritage stamps. I will be getting a book of 20 on Friday (payday) :)

My alumnae chapter is very excited. We are having an event at a post office for the stamp release.
