incorporating IFC/PANHEL/NPHC Together
 

I was curious to see how other Greek communities that include IFC/PANHEL/NPHC Greek Governing branches come together to foolw the same rules and regulations. Any information on how to do this please email them to me at twinmc2@aol.com

We have something here called Greek Council which has a president/vp/tres/sec plus 2 reps from each campus fraternity and sorority. They basically set up greek week and do community service projects etc.

We also have a Greek Council that does something similar, and we have our operational problems etc. If you want stuff more specific please post more.

Not to open a can of worms, but please read other threads on this board that discuss the operational differences between the groups under the different councils. It is only possible to standardize the rules to a limited degree.

I know that some universities have all the Greek groups under one "umbrella type" GREEK COUNCIL type of thing. However, when it comes to the NPC sororities and the NPHC sororities, these 2 groupings of sororities wouldn't be able to follow the same rules and regulations per se, as they do things differently, one of which is "Rush" or "Recruitment". The NPC Rush process is very different from the NPHC Rush process (and Rush has a slightly different meaning, depending on the context).
In NPC Formal Recruitment (i.e. Rush), the prospective member has to check out ALL NPC sororities on campus in Round #1, whereas, it is my understanding that with NPHC sororities, Rush essentially means that you have chosen the one (and only) NPHC sorority that you wish to affiliate with. If you are researching different NPHC groups, I understand that this is where you attend "informational sessions".
