Siblings pledging different organizations??

Hi everyone,
I was wondering...have you ever experienced siblings pledging different organizations? By that I do mean same sex obviously. If you have what are your general thoughts about such a situation? Is it common? Are siblings expected to follow in the footsteps of their sibling? Is anyone against it...if so why? I'm just curious...

Well, I have 3 sisters and I am the only one in a sorority at the time. We have discussed that possibility and I say it is still their choice. I told them they should go with the sorority that best fits them. They are my blood and I will love them unconditionally. However, of course I am pushing for them to join the best sorority ever made of course! SGRHO 4 LIFE!!!!

I have four sisters. Three of us are greek. Two of us pledged Delta and one pledged AKA.

We actually don't talk about it very much. When we get together we are just the same ole' sisters who grew up together loving and fighting each other.

this happens all the time. my examples:

i went to school w/twins where one is an AKA and the other a Delta.
my best friend's (a Delta) mom and her sister are Deltas, the third sister a Zeta.
my other best friend is a Delta and her sister an AKA
i met an SGRho w/a sister that's an AKA

folks have to go w/their own interests. really, i wouldn't want a soror who's in it just because and come to see that soror isn't doing anything for our Sisterhood. yeah, you would expect folks to follow their sibs but it doesn't always happen that way and often times both support each other and it works out great.
