Saw it on Friday! Finally played here in the Pyramids and it was GREAT! A true story of American History and how Alpha played in it.

This documentary is scheduled on UNC-TV

on 4/2/06 at 2:30pm

A historical documentary on Alpha Phi Alpha, America's largest and oldest black fraternity. W.E.B. Dubois, Jesse Owens, Duke Ellington, Edward Brooke, Thurgood Marshall, Andrew Young, and Martin Luther King, Jr. are among the countless Alpha men who have dedicated their lives to scholarship, manly deeds, and love for all mankind. The history of these men is the history of America, and their place in the vanguard of the Civil Rights struggle is unparalleled. This is the story of Alpha Phi Alpha's century of leadership and service

I am currently deployed in Iraq so I dont get to watch much TV. a Frat mailed me a copy yesterday and I thought it was abcolutely great. I learned a lot. I am a memeber of Eta Lambda and have met former General President Ozel Sutton many times. But I never knew he was in the hotel where Brother King was shot. That is real history there.

God has truly smiled on the bruhs.

You are right about it, OA. As I watched and saw A Phi A's national (and local) excellence demonstrated in so many areas, and how we're continuing leadership into the future, it just reinforced for me why it was Alpha or nothing at all.

I just caught the Alpha documentary this past Sunday. I was truly amazed and humbled at the experience, especially to see some of my chapter brothers in the film.
