Crash... Sorry
Hello Alpha Xi Deltas!
I found this on one of the yahoo group boards for your group and was wondering if this passage was of significant meaning (ie AGD Purpose). I love this and would like to quote it but wanted to know the meaning (if there was one). PM me if needed about this, thanks! "People ask me why I am in a sorority and I try to explain all the things a sorority is that they cannot see. A sorority is more than letters on a sweatshirt, I say. More than traditional songs, a pin, rituals, and obligation, or a way of life. A sorority is learning about people-people different than yourself, a sorority is giving without expecting in return. A sorority is earning respect from others, as well as for yourself. A sorority will not solve all your problems, but I have made good friends and found confidence there to help me take my life one step at a time...through the smiles and the tears."~Alpha Xi Delta |
I think its just a general sorority quote. Ive seen it used on several chapter websites of different organizations....at least to my knowledge, its not something specific to AZDs....
anybody out there wanna help confirm or deny that? |
My sorority quoted that poem once during recruitment. We got it off an ASA chapter's website that had it under a section of sisterhood quotes. It's just a general sisterhood quote kind of like that "we're not sisters by birth but we knew from the start" one.
