question about badge
My boyfriend is a Lambda and he lost his badge. I wanted to get him a new one as a gift. He wants a ruby and pearl one and nationals doesn't have it listed on LambdaChi.org. I was wondering if anyone on here knew where I cold get a ruby and pearl badge?

As far as I know, they can be made how ever you would like. I think Masters of Design still does our badge, so I would suggest contacting them.

Note: Other stone combinations (genuine diamonds, rubies, etc.) available; call (317) 872-8000 for quotation. This item is on back order. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.

Chipster, that is a Neat Badge.
All of the LXA Badges or Fantstatic, some just a Little More Bling as some call them!:) I do have a few of the Blings and Love Each and Everyone of Them ! They are Special! One is Purple, Green, and Gold! |
My badge is somewhat unique and not at all what I ordered from Balfour years and years ago.
The crescent is set with pearls, of course, but the lambda is set with emeralds and pearls with diamond points. |
My Original Badge is White Gold, Pearls of Course in Cresent, and 11 Saphires. The TS in the Olden days wore one like this and I had to have it!
I have purchased three that I Cherish: White Gold, 3 Saphires and 8 Diamonds. Yellow Gold, with Purple and Green Stones in the Lambda, equal Purple, Green, and Gold. Yellow Gold, with 8 opals and 3 rubys. Only other one similarI have seen is owned by a Brother LX Z who is Hi Pi at UNLV but has Emeralds. John, Yours sounds so unique and must be Beautiful. I am sure You wear it Proudly! |
My current favorite has nine large crown-set pearls in the Lambda, which is flat on top but curved on the bottom to conform to the convex front of the badge itself. The back is concave. The whole thing is very thick and the workmanship is excellent with fine beading of the gold on the tips of the crescent and inner edges of the Lambda that adds to the sparkle. The black enamel area with the letters Delta and Pi is slightly larger and more pronounced than on those from Balfour. The pin goes through your shirt at a 45 degree angle. It was made - probably in the '20s - by Spies Bros., Inc. of Chicago, which was in business from 1878 until at least 1935.
