GLOs sharing names

I understand if locals share names with each other without knowing about it, but how can you go on for decades doing so, especially when two of them have a similar purpose (education)?

Check this out:

Phi Delta Kappa (Education Society)

Phi Delta Kappa (HB Education Sorority)

Phi Delta Kappa (regional fraternity)

ETA: Of course, there's Kappa Alpha Society and Kappa Alpha Order

I'm sure they know about it, but as far as the ed sororities, one was founded in 1906 and one in 1923. I doubt either will change at this point.

There's also Tau Delta Phi, the NIC fraternity (my dad's an alum) and Tau Delta Phi, the local co-ed honor fraternity at SJSU.

Phi Nu Pi (Kappa Alpha Psi)

Kappa Alpha Psi's use of Phi Nu Pi is a clear-cut example.

Phi Nu Pi was a Dental Fraternity. Interestingly, a number of Kappa Alpha Psi members are dentists as well.

There are two Delta Phi Epsilons. My sorority, DPhiE, was founded in 1917 at NYU School of Law, and Delta Phi Epsilon Professional Foreign Service Fraternity was founded in 1920 at Georgetown University.

There is a national medical fraternity called Phi Chi.

They were first. We were actually named for our founder's pledge class. She was a TriDelt transfer, but I don't remember where from. Her pledge class was Phi Chi.

Although I'm pretty sure you're incorrect, can you please direct me to an instance of a coed chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon?

I hate you, lol

I still wouldn't describe the organization as nationally coed, but I defer to your infinite wisdom. :)

It's kind of weird looking at that website and seeing a man wear my letters.

Would it be an inappropriate time now to say that Senusret I is hot and could wear my letters any time? :p

How do DPhiE and DPhiE deal with the same name issue?
