Happy Founders Day SORORS!!!
Happy Founders Day SORORS!!!
Alpha Kappa Alpha women all over the world proudly wearing their precious 20 pearls. AKA, they founded January 15, 1908 at Howard University on that historic date. Women called together by Ethel Hedgeman Lyle chose pink and green their colors, a lot of class, a lot of style. Women providing service to an outstanding ideal through friendship, sisterhood and love so real. Women blessed by God above, in friendship and love in a sorority as precious and peaceful as the white dove. Women, by culture and by merit too, who strive to do their best through high standards, moral character, a lot of zeal Women with strength and endurance like the Green Ivy Leaf promote the goals of service and sisterhood in our great sorority. Women like the rose unfolding in shadows of pink and green demonstrate fine characteristics of womanhood serene. Women in the Virgin Islands, The Bahamas, Germany, Korea, Bermuda, England, and the USA are working together in service and sisterhood the Alpha Kappa Alpha Way. Alpha Kappa Alpha Women all over the world proudly wearing their precious 20 pearls. SKEEEEEEE-WEEEEEEE MY SORORS!!!! |

MY SISTER
Someone asked me today Who was my Sister Who was the the woman That showed me true love Who protected me along my ways.... I paused because I never thought Such a question could be so simple I answered that she was a student a student on every campus NYU, Howard to Stanford She was about her community and a teacher She was a woman of easter Egg Hunts Visiting kids at Holloween She visited the sick She paid for the poor She was a sister A best kind of friend She was stubborn Yet compassionate to the end She was a beauty to behold A woman not to be compared A woman that others aspire Just to hold her was a pleasure She graduates and she masters her destiny She acquires 2 or 3 more masters and PHDs She becomes a leader in her field or community And holds a 4.0 She is a friend to the end A Sister Like No Other!!!!! She is and lady of Alpha Kappa Alpha founded in 08 Happy Founders' Day Sorors!!!!! 190608! By Lucien Metellus Spr 98 Zeta Zeta Lambda #1 |
We'll Always Reverence AKA Forever and a Day!
My beautiful Sorors, I wish you a beautiful and wonderful 98th Founders Day!
Life would change forever in 1908, When a woman dared to dream so wild And everday since then We take to heart her goal The stride, the strength of Ethel Hedgman Lyle Oh Margaret, Marie, Lavinia, Lillie, Beulah, Anna, Lucy, Marjorie Your contribution was so pristine and so supreme That's why you mean so much to me The sophomores were believers and joined a movement right To carry out a vision fair And even now today, With Sorors coast-to-coast That very same vision to share Oh Norma, Harriet, Sarah, Carrie, Alice, Joanna and Ethel Jones Mowbray You paved the way as pioneers, transcended through the years That's you mean so much to me How high can ivy grow With roots so deep below A sisterhood so divine It's a rare pearl so hard to find You live on vicariously, avoiding extinction By merit and by culture too you've made a clear distinction Oh Nellie Quander, Julia Brooks, Minnie Smith and Nellie Pratt-Russell Your contribution was so supreme, that's why you'll never know How much you mean to me |
Happy 98th Founder's Day to my lovely, intelligent, exquisite, and sophisticated Sorors!
