Interesting: Islamic-based sorority
 

Hello Ladies. I found an article about the first Islamic-based sorority in the US on CNN.com. I found it interesting since I've only ever hearad of Jewish or even Christian faith-based sororities but here is a link to their website: http://www.gammagammachi.org/

All we're saying is that it's prudent to do a search before posting a topic. Many of us who visit NPHC forums here on GC go to others besides our own, and it doesn't make sense to be redundant.

Anticipatience, might I ask if you have read the POW? If not, please do. It is urged that EVERYONE perform a search before posting. This goes for newbies and oldschoolers alike! It generally means search all of the D9 forums for topics being discussed, as well as the General Forums, such as Chit Chat. Please don't take it as anyone picking on you, which I sense from your comment. Most of us have been around for a while and hate seeing duplicate topics in the forums.

Relax!! Like LadyGreek stated, you will get the hang of it. Try participating in some discussions that are already open. There are tons of threads to choose from. Eventually, you'll have something new and innovative to start a thread on.

Ms. RefinedDiva, I've definitely read the POW. As I PM'd one of the AKA moderators, though, I wasn't aware that the search was supposed to cover all of the D9 topics. I was only thinking about this forum.
I don't take these things personally, either. I genuinely think it's funny that whenever I post, it's already been done. I completely realize, though, why you'd become frustrated seeing the same things in the forums. I went to the very first posting on this forum and it's no wonder that a lot of the sisterfriend questions get closed upon posting (and sometimes made fun of beforehand)...the same things are being brought up and the same questions are being asked!
Ladies, please keep doing your thing so elegantly! No hard feelings at all!
