Direct TV Sat. Sucks
 

I got this Sat. System with a promise of a 6 speaker sound system and a DVD CD player.

A Year later still no dice. Have called them monthly asking about it and always getting the same damn answer, it is coming.

1 Damn year and nothing promised!

Do Not go with them. I gave up dishnet for this crap!:mad:

As a former employer of DirecTV, I can (probably) help you with your problem.

There is a 99.99 percent chance that you got your equiptment through an authorize dealer of DirecTV. The dealer is the one who promised you the free DVD player and speakers, not DTV.

If you are able to find who sold you your equiptment, find the number and harrass them. If not, call DTV and ask for the number. Most likely, they will have it. If you still are calling the dealer with no results, call DTV and they will be able to see what's going on.

I heard this problem all of the time in the time I worked there. DTV had to drop a few dealers because they promised people gifts they never got. That's why I tell people if they want DTV, to go to them directly and not through a dealer because a lot of them are very shady.
