King Kong Movie...
 

I just came back from seeing King Kong... and I was somewhat perturbed by the scenes with savages in it... :confused:

Am I being overly sensitive or was anyone else who's seen the movie, disturbed by the savage dances & rituals?

I wasn't disturbed at all. And you called them savages.

I was distirbed as well. I have a few friends who are deliberately boycotting because at the end of the day, the movie was and still is very racist. I had to have an in depth discussion with my son after seeing the movie about many of the images portrayed, one of which was the portrayal or the natives of the island.

I thought I was being overly sensitive but after talking to many of the people in my circle who will not see that movie, I see that many of my feelings are justified.

That's me - right there. I think the movie is racist. Although I am a special effects hog, I will not pay $$ to see it.

Savages seemed to describe how they were portrayed on screen...

The original movie disturbed me with it's racial overtones, thus not gonna see this one.

I went to see the movie yesterday afternoon and I wasn't disturbed at all. I thought the movie was great.
