Random Question
Hi Ladies, I'm Jemma and I am hoping to become a student in the USA. I currently live in the UK and I was wondering if there are my age limits on joining AÃÄ? As I am 22 years old
Another question - Do you let International Students Plegde? |
Welcome to GC.
Alpha Gamma Delta does not enforce age limits on membership. Have you already been accepted to your school in America? If so, you might want to take a look at the Rush forum for general info about the Recruitment process. Unlike other campus organizations, you don't just join Alpha Gam like you would any other "club". There is a structured process in doing so even before the New Member (the word "pledge" is incorrect terminology) program begins. I know we have had International Students before, but it would all depend on what school you'll be attending. If you have general questions about our Fraternity, please visit our International Website. I'll be sending you a Private Message soon, so be sure to check that when you can. |
As of yet, I haven't been accepted in any School as I have only just decided to live my dream and get an American degree.
All I have to do is apply and save the money. |

When applying to American schools, remember that you're doing so to live your dream. Unfortunately Alpha Gam is not at every campus in the USA and Canada, but make sure you choose your campus because it's right for you, not just because we have a chapter there. I also forgot to add that while we do not enforce an age limit, those interested in membership as a collegian must be enrolled in UNDERGRADUATE courses full time. We have alumnae initation, but that's a whole different story. If you have any questions about that, please visit the Alumnae Initiation forum. |
Again thank you Sandy, I'll keep that all in mind!

I know that my Chapter pledged a German exchange student. Maybe, if I ever fly Lufthansa (yea, I know it's wrong, lol) , we can meet!
Also remember that while each orgnization's chapters have the same Initiation ceremony, chapters are made up of different personalities...of which can determine what a chapter is like. |
i distinctly remember meeting an alpha gam from a georgia chapter who was actually a foreign exchange student from the UK. she was studying abroad for all four year of her undergrad and decided to join a sorority. wonderful girl!
