rivalries?
 

Hey y'all! We don't use this board enough, at least I don't think so. So here is a new thread: on your campus, what sorority is your biggest rival and why?

At the College of Charleston, our biggest rival is Kappa Delta. This is b/c they are the only other sorority on campus that is as good as we are. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif We are always competing for highest GPA, highest numbers during rush, outstanding sorority of the year, etc. Trust me, there is no love lost between KD and ZTA at my school!

That's funny because our biggest rival is KD also! During rush, we compete over the same girls. We've also been told that most girls going through rush love both ZTA and KD so much that we're usually the ones that they're torn over after prefs. Our Spring GPA was higher than their's though. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif But, it's a friendly rivalry. Many ZTA's have good friends in KD. Most of my sisters have more friends in KD then any other sorority. My best friend since the 4th grade is a KD!!! They are a great group of girls. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

It's so much fun hearing about other chapters! There are only 4 sororities (& 2 fraternities!) here at my school but going greek is a pretty popular idea so competition is pretty heavy come rush time. AST I would say is a "rival" of ours and also the new chapter of Tri-Sigma. AST & ZTA are usualy competing after the same girls. Tri-Sigma is our next door neighbor and we usualy get along but they are different girls than the Zetas. They were a strong local and want to be the same as a national. The other sorority, ASA, isn't as big a player I guess. When it comes to grades too, AST is our rival as well. Zeta is pretty popular here and we're known as the nice sweet girls with just the right amount of wild side I think. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gifBecause we're such a small campus any rivalry is all in good fun, mostly everyone is friendly with everyone in all the sororities.
