what won't you be caught doing in `06

Ok so I heard a DJ bring up this topic on new years day and I thought it was very interesting so I wanted to bring it to ya'll. What did you all do in 2005 that you will not be caught DEAD doing in 2006.

I'll start....In 2005 I dated a lot of men (especially in the latter part of the year) just to get over my ex. I mean I dated all kinds of losers. But in 2006....there will be none of that!! "I can do bad all by myself!!"

I don't think I just learned this in 2005 but,

I won't be caught BROKE!

Well, I am never broke. I just won't be caught without any cash that I can easily put my hands on. Yes, experience has taught me that credit cards and accounts here and there can do you no good at times when you really need CASH.

I won't be caught BROKEN!

I will never let anyone, situation, job, etc. ever break me. (not that it ever did). But I will continue to be the strong, unbreakable person that I am and be able to help others.

I will not be caught WISHING!! I will instead be doing! I am going back to school for my 2nd degree so I can earn more money to stop wishing and start getting!

I won't be caught doubting that ALL things work together for my good! I spent too much time and energy worrying about situations that looked bad but turned out for my good anyway!!

God is good!

this is a great thread

I wont be caught without my LSAT and GRE study guides.

I won't be caught at the school when the sun is going down. I put a lot into teaching in 2005, but I wasn't putting enough into myself. So, I'll be active in my alumnae chapter (recording secretary back on the job) and on the dating scene. ;)

I like this - I'll definitely have to take this on myself. I vowed just the other day not to allow situations to take over me and wear me down like they nearly did last year.

I won't be caught having pity parties.

I won't be caught speaking negativity into my life.

I would like everyone join me in this..... although this was a 2005 one, I still see people doing it. Please DO NOT GET CAUGHT WITH YOUR SHADES ON IN THE CLUB. It's not cool or cute people ok. Whether it's a real club or the daggon gym party at school. It MUST stop in 2006.

...or letting others do it for me. :D

I absolutely positively REFUSE to be caught doing anything counterproductive to my goals!

...wasting time offering advice to people who want to stay miserable. I am no longer get caught co-signing a pity party.

...impulse shopping (or buying "stuff" instead of dealing with my emotional "stuff). The $200 iPod Nano I bought didn't help me deal with my job stress, being hundreds of miles away from my boyfriend, family or friends esp. after that darn thing broke anyway.

...missing routine check up appts, procrastinating on my oil changes, paying my car note late. Now that I'm saving for a house, sistagirl has to start acting like a responsible adult.

I second that. Don't ask me what I think, and then you continue to do what you've been doing and then ask me why hasn't your change come? Leave me out of it. I tried to help you but it ain't working. I have better things to do

bluethunder 01-20-2006 01:45 PM

this is a good one!

no backtracking in '06...

...failing to put $ aside for a rainy day...

using credit cards...

...making myself miserable over things i cannot change...

procrastinating...

...ordering the book for class two days before exams and then trying to read them...(this ain't undergrad no more, y'all)...

... under-appreciating what my loved ones do for me (i am going to show my gratitude as much as possible)...
