rush at KSU and KU

Being from colorado I don't know much about either school's rush as far as outfits go. I am rushing this coming fall at either KSU or KU (depending where i decide). Can anyone tell me what types of outfits would be good for each day?

University of Kansas and Kansas State University?

Step 1: get into the school

Step 2: worry about recruitment

Why worry about it until you're in? After all, what guarantees you'll get into either one.

Plus, I'm guessing both have a Panhel site that will tell you all of that info...

If the KU the poster is referring is Kansas, then Panhel will mail out a CD to everyone who signs up for recruitment. In the past the disk has contact info, chapter info, what to wear, what to expect. They seem like very informatative disks. Also Panhel will give out tshirts to wear to the first round.

Maybe she's alreay accepted to both. I had my acceptance letter in October of my Sr. year of HS. Although I do think I might have A) Included a little more info, B) thought of a more intelligent question then "What do I wear?".
Although you do have to give her credit for not coming on and asking certain other questions...

PS...what's a babie?

Yeah, ditto to what everyone else said. Check the school websites for a "Greek Life" section.

But in general, I feel like everyone seems to take the "what to wear" and takes it up a notch. Like at FSU, for Icewaters, it says denim or khaki shorts... but no one really wears those. Most people for icewaters are wearing skirts. Just something to keep in mind.

Hey I'm going to be rushing at KU this fall too. I've heard that we get tshirts the first day and the best advice I've heard from girls in sororities at KU is to dress classy. I hope that helps. I'm still lost on this whole thing too

The best advice I have is to not call sorority woman "grils". Grammar is our friend...especially at rush. Other friends include the apostrophe ''' and the "shift" button for capitol letters. I hope that's not how your KU application looked like.

Capital letters... and "how your KU application looked like"? Pot, meet kettle.

I noticed that after I posted and didn't have time to correct it. I have over 1600 posts, and I'm sure you could find about a thousand grammar errors in them, but at least I make the effort. And look, OP went back and changed it. It didn't take that much effort. It doesn't take more then going through 2 or 3 threads here to figure out that most of us type like we are college educated and not like 13 year olds in a chat room. I think it's just respectful to other people to attempt to make your posts halfway professional looking.

KTHXBI;) ;)

I'm sorry, but that seemed a little bit RUDE . This is just a message board after all, and people like to type in shorthand. Anyways I agree with itzybitzy...it is very important to dress classy and act classy. This might sound a little bit shallow, but I'll say it anyways. Do not use knock off designer hand bags or jewlery. People will definately be able to tell the difference.

You're new to GC. People are going to be blunt and say things that may not seem too nice to you. It's not always filled with sunshine and daisies here -- people tell it like it is. My advice would be to just suck it up.

And regarding accessories: they're nice to have, but definitely not necessary. Thousands of girls get bids each year without having the designer BS. So basically, if you don't already have the designer isht before recruitment, don't go out and get it. Personality and class help you get bids, not Mikimoto pearls and Kate Spade purses.

apology

Hello Ladies, I would just like to apologize for stirring up some problems or whatever. I should take AlphaFrogs comment as construction criticism. Afterall, that advice will only help me in the long run :) Take care ladies!

How come there is all of a sudden an outburst of KU and K-State threads? I admire ya'lls curiosity but shouldn't we combine these threads into one? Just a suggestion though

I bet a lot of people were wondering that too, considering recruitment's not till the Fall.

If it's general KU or KSU questions, it'd be nice to combine it in one -- makes info easier to find that way. I'm assuming that when Fall recruitment starts, each PNM will eventually start her own separate thread in the Recruitment Stories forum.
