Hardrock, Coco and Joe

Post in this thread if you know what I'm talking about.

WGN showed this the other night on "Bozo, Gar, & Ray: WGN TV Classics," along with Suzy Snowflake and Frosty the Snowman. :)

Oh wow! I was just talking about these songs with my family over Christmas. My brothers and I already had Suzy Snowflake in our Christmas MP3 collections and were trying to track down Hardrock, Coco, and Joe and Frosty the Snowman because we remembered watching them on the Bozo Show when we were young. The "videos" that went with them just cracked me up. We still have not been able to find the songs. :(

OMG I absolutely love them!!!

Sister Havana that show was the highlight of my Christmas Eve as I lay violently ill on the couch suffering from the stomach flu. I may have dozed off while Bozo met the various Chicago mayors and Oprah. But I didn't miss the big three: Suzy Snowflake, Frosty, and the beloved Hard Rock, Coco, and Joe.

UofISigKap, last year the Walter E. Smithe furniture company gave away a holiday dvd with all three of them. I wasn't able to get one but maybe if you contact them directly they may copy one for you.

ETA: to change the spelling of the Smithe name 'cause I goofed it up.

Thanks wrigley! I'll have to look into getting the cd.

Here's my explanation - the station in Johnstown PA runs them all the time at Christmas and it's a huge deal. I was just flipping stations the other day, ran into WGN and was like "holy crap it's Frosty the Snowman!" I had no idea it was a big Chicago thing.

Yea, we use to watch them all the time when I was little because they were my parents favorite Christmas cartoons when they were little. A couple of years ago my uncle taped all three of them for my dad from a late night WGN special. He was soooo excited!!

Walter E. Smithe did sell them on a DVD last year, but they sold another DVD this Christmas with some other old Christmas cartoons, I just can't remember which ones were on the DVD.

I love those cartoons and saw Frosty while we were home for Christmas. You can watch them here.
