I am glad to see facebook used as a positive recruitment tool, which is a change from what I have seen lately!

I'm very much in tune with FSU's Greek life but this is the first I've heard of this organization/chapter. I made use of facebook to check it out (there are 4 members at FSU, including Michael Bone and the KYX knight)
Kappa Upsilon Chi exists for several reasons. Our greatest desire is to glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We also seek to uphold and maintain biblical Christian standards, to be an influence in the community through servant lifestyles, to pursue a positive attitude and spirit, and to help others strengthen their academic achievement, enabling them to be what the Lord calls them to be. We do this by submitting to the Lord our God and allowing him to direct our lives as Psalm 139:23-24 states, "Search me, oh God, and know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Since our purpose does not parallel with greek organizations and the Interfraternity Council, we choose not to abide by the rules and the rights of the IFC. We seek solely to do the will of God. With this being our purpose statement, we hold absolute to our foundation on Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. You may wonder why a Fraternity for Christian men? Accountability. Kappa Upsilon Chi stands for Keeping Under Christ when loosely translated and that is the Fraternity's soul desire. Our most important focus is Christian accountability in each of our chapters cememnted in Accountability groups, overseen by each chapter's chaplain. This is a place where the Christian men that call Kappa Upsilon Chi home can come to build each other up and truly sharpen each other spiritually for the day-to-day struggles of college and life. |
