At what age did you start using profane language?
 

I will have to say the second semester of my freshman year in high school.

I was probably about 10 years old. I'm a potty mouth. :D

I remember in first grade when everyone learned "fuck". We were sitting at a table in the lunch room when one of the kids said to us, "Wanna hear a bad word?" We all started saying it and passing it onto our friends at the lunch tables nearby. The cafeteria monitors (usually PTA people) flipped and told the teacher who told our parents. My parents weren't mad at me considering I had no idea what I was saying. They just told me not to say stuff like that anymore. And I didn't...until I got to middle school.

I remember having my mouth washed out by a baby sitter when I was 6-years old because some of the older kids told me "the worst word in the entire world" & I repeated it. (fuck)

Other than that, I probably started using profane words regularly in high school.

Probably 11 or 12. I have a bit of a potty mouth myself.

When at 4yrs old I copied my high school aged cousins & yelled shut up my momma was pretty shocked. "Look what your relatives taught her!!" my daddy said. Neither of them were very happy with my bad language.

I think for a while I watched what I said but def. was aware of cuss words in Middle School.

As a teacher I watch what I say at work but outside of work I can get quite the potty mouth!

Bout sixth grade.

Until I went to college, my mom would always get all upset if I cussed in front of her.

Now she dosent care. I still wont drop the f-bomb in front of her, but I'll say anything else around her.

My sister and brother in law cuss a lot. They are both well educated and professionals, but are just in the habit. They are worried that their four year old will roll up into pre-k and be all "shit, bitch, I dont want to go outside." lol.

Early high school. My mother was no joke, and I was not a rebellious kid until late. I'm 37 years old and I still don't swear around my mom!

1st grade.

I was a hellion.

i started cussing right after i got out of the womb.

5th grade, one of my friends noticed I cussed a lot......damn

Much to my mother's chagrin, I was but a wee tot when I started refering to the bathroom as "the crapper." Carlin's list of things that you can't say on television soon followed.

She still is always at me about my language.

My first cuss word was "shit" when I was around 4-5 years old. I started to use cuss words a lot when I was around 2nd grade... :)

First time I remember was in elementary school. Probably around 4th grade.

It was all very daring.

Some point early in elementary school, like around 3rd grade. My parents weren't exactly thrilled.
