Sigma Kappa sister killed in hit and run
 

This happened this weekend at Iowa State.

It had snowed the day before, so the roads were probably not very good. There also aren't sidewalks in the area she was walking. My condolences to the Alpha Epsilon chapter of Sigma Kappa and all your sisters.

My thoughts and prayers are with her family and the SK sisters.

Please accept my sincere sympathy - I can only begin to imagine the pain that your sister's families (real and sorority) are feeling at this moment.

My heart goes out to the sisters at Iowa State. It's so unfair how life gets cut tragically short sometimes. :(

Hit and run kills always make me so depressed. I have friends whose dad was killed while on his bike on his way to work as the sole breadwinner in the family. It's so tragic.

My heart goes out to her family and sisters of Sigma Kappa.

My thoughts are with our Iowa sisters.

I keep reading the article when I get online and it's making me so mad. How could you just leave someone like that???? :(

Good news, they have identified the driver. I don't think that it is proper to post who it is since they haven't filed formal charges yet.

so i was reading the article about the driver, and 2 things are bothering me .. 1 - HOW CAN YOU NOT BE SURE YOURE GOING OT PRESS CHARGES???? she LEFT the girl on the side of the road, thats something to take into consideration.... and then 2 - when they say a garage in nevada, does that mean like me nevada - the state - or nevada a city in iowa?? thats got to be the stupidest question but its confusing me .... ?
either way, how terrible for this to happen, to anyone. :(

Nevada, Iowa (pronounced Na-VAAA-Dah) is in Story County, Iowa.

I think they are going to press charges, they are just trying to figure out exactly what ones. If they think there was alcohol involved then that is a whole new bag of worms vs. if they can't show that is was.
