hollywood just keeps getting weirder. the today show just announced that brad pitt has filed a petition to legally adopt angelina jolie's children. no word on whether the two plan to marry.

don't they realize that when the two adults move on tho their next paramour, that it is going to be way more complicated ?

At least on the Today show they announced it properly. On GMA, Bill Weir said Brad says he wants to be Angelina's babies daddy. :rolleyes:

He could just set up a trust fund in their names and act in-loco-parentis . . why formalize?

I can see why neither of them would want to marry. Thats a lot of legal complication.

No, they did not have kids. She adopted both children out of country.

You know Jennifer Aniston is like crying her eyes out right now - or at least I would be.

I would be crying tears of JOY to be rid of him & that nasty girl - I have absolutely no love for Angelina... she may be a good will ambassador or what-not, but she is just u-g-h to me.

James, there are a lot of legal issue with what you suggested. He's got the money to pay the attorney to do the work, so why not?

I just feel terrible for Jennifer Anniston. This has got to be painful for her, like it would be for any woman. But to have an ex and his lover's every move being so highly publicized has to really suck.

I so agree. My breakups were bad enough, let alone if the whole world was watching how I reacted.

My husband said he saw this on CNN again this morning, but he said they also mentioned they were in the process of negotiating a prenup.

She was still married to Billy Bob when she (they?) adopted Maddox. My first thought was about BB, too. The did split up just after she adopted the baby.

I think she and BBT (ha ha, the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern and Billy Bob have the same initials) adopted Maddox jointly, but he may have surrendered his parental rights.

This is the modern day version of Liz/Eddie/Debbie.

Why would he do that before getting married? Bad idea...

I feel awful for her, too.

Regardless of how many charitable projects she's involved with, I still think Angelina Jolie is nothing but a trashy homewrecker.
