AzSU: pose for girlie mag, get expelled
Yaser Alamoodi, president of the student government at Arizona State University, wants to ban students from posing for girlie magazines, the State Press, a student newspaper, reports:
"I was concerned to see logos and the name of ASU being associated with such magazines," he said. "I don't want the name of ASU to be a joke anymore, and I think the Playboy association is a big reason why the ASU academic reputation is not up to what it should be." Under the proposed rule, students who posed would be punished by the rules set forth in the student code of conduct. According to the code, any student who is found to violate the rules is subject to expulsion, suspension, probation, warning or payment of restitution. |
This has nothing whatsoever to do with Greek life.
And this is a really stupid idea. What's he going to do about the nude figure drawing classes and the human sexuality classes I'm assuming a school the size of ASU must have? Stupid boy, throw many rocks. |

OJ reports today:
Yaser Alamoodi, Party Animal Yesterday we noted that Yaser Alamoodi, the Saudi president of Arizona State University's student government, is urging a ban on students posing for Playboy and similar magazines on the ground that ASU's image as a party school is harmful to its academic reputation. In October 2004 Alamoodi gave an interview to the New Times, a Phoenix alternative weekly. It seems that with a presidential debate coming to town, the FBI had visited Alamoodi to conduct some prophylactic questioning, which gave rise to this exchange in the New Times interview: NT: If they do come back, just ask them to take you out to dinner that night. You'll have the perfect alibi: "I couldn't have bombed the presidential debates; I was out to dinner with the FBI." Alamoodi: I'm all dangerous now. Man, I haven't gotten laid so much in my life as I did after 9/11. NT: So all at once you were hot with white chicks after September 11? Alamoodi: Girls always confuse sympathy with sex. And guys are always up for it. And I'm not gonna say no. ----------- Good to see someone is upholding ASU's reputation as a serious academic institution. |
