Famous Phi Sigs

I have a question for whoever might know the answer! Does anyone know any famous Phi Sigma Sigma sisters?

Thanks,
Kirsten

Does your organization have a website? I know that a lot of organizations post who their famous members are on their web page.

ZTAngel:

Thanks for the reply but no Phi Sigma Sigma's national website doesn't have anthing on it about famous members...It isn't important that I find out, but I just wanted to know! Thanks anyway!

Perhaps you can email your IHQ and ask them this question? Also, maybe you can suggest to them to put up a section on "Famous/Noteable Phi Sigs"? I've seen other sorority websites who have a page on their famous members (News Anchors, Former Miss Americas, etc.) and it makes for an interesting read.

Good Luck in your quest to Phind Phamous Phi Sigs!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

I agree with CutiePie. On our AGD message board there seems to be a lot of confusion of who's an AGD and who's not. That's why I'm writing to my IHQ to get some facts!!! Doing research on your own might be difficult and, like in Melaina's case, it turns out that there are no famous PhiSig's.

Write/email your IHQ and ask if it could be possible to include a list of accomplished PhiSigs. They may not be Miss Americas or Hollywood starlets, but I'm pretty sure that there are fellow sisters out there that have made a name for themselves in their chosen career fields.

Good luck.

I just recently found out that the girl from Win Ben Steins Money is a Phi Sig, that's the only one I know of but I know there is more.

From what my pledge mom (i know i'm not using the PC word, but i don't care) Phi Sig are known more for being famous in the professional field. I know phi sig has a world famous photographer as alum. I don't think really matters that we don't have any "famous" sisters, but we do have many sisters who are known in their communities and well respected in they fields. That's just my 52 cents on the matter:P

ladies...just because there are no "famous" phi sigs does not at all mean that there are not any phi sigs who do not excel at what they do. very few people will ever become famous but many do become sucessful! my reflections manual listed the names of many phi sigs who were involved in politics, community service, the business world etc...and as soon as i can find my poor reflections manual i will share them with you!!!

I have a little stockpile of Reflections...this is some of what is mentioned on page 8
"Noteworthy Members"

Marian S Rosen - youngest woman attorney to practice before us supreme court

Ruth Farkas - ambassador to Luxembourg

Eve Abbot - broadway actress

Ima Phillips - creator of "guiding light"

Jane Brody - NY times health editor

Sylvia Porter - NY Post daily columnist

Lila Kroser, MD - past pres. of American Medical Women's Association

There are many I've left out...just because our alum aren't tv or film stars doesn't mean they have not accomplished great things.

Yes, Nancy Pimental was a writer for South Park and also wrote the screenplay for The Sweetest Thing. She is an alum from the chapter at Worcester Polytechnic.
