Hey all....so my sorority needs some help with Recruitmant, the way my school does it, is that we hold something called Meet the Greeks where each Greek Organization sets up a table displaying there scrapbooks, paddles, awards etc. Then we hold Interest meetings and the PNM get to know us a little more, this usually works great.....but some Greek Organizations got in trouble (including mine) and we aren't allowed to set up a table. We are allowed to be there, wear letters, hand pamhlets out...but no table....

So does anyone have any ideas how we can Recruit Interest? We are local and it's a pretty small school....and it's not to big on Greek Life

Hey, I'm not sure how your school or sorority's rules are on "informal rushing", but what we do is hold social events at our house to accumilate interest. One event we had was an Ice Cream Social. We also had a movie night and a game night. Just different girls only night with many different people. It gave them insight to who we are as a group and as individuals and it worked terrific for us this year!

Well...since you can't have a table...be creative! Maybe make a few posterboards with pictures of your chapter having fun or doing philanthropic events, etc

i was an active member at NJ Tech in Newark. We have a similar process. It sounds the same as what you describe. And for Tech Meet the Greeks doesn't usually draw a big crowd of PNM's.

You don't have to depend on that event for recruitment. Get flyers up all over campus, pass out brochures in classes, hold your events where PNM's will pass by and want to join in.

Keep your chapter's website updated with events. Believe it or not, having an updated website that looks professional is helpful.

Chalking also helps! We use chalking to spread our pride a couple of times a year, but other groups on campus (Greek and non greek) chalk for their events and what have you. Chalking can be fun and creative, especially if you do it at night, that way when people wake up, all they see is chalk all over the place. It's good times.

talking to ppl is how we get all our sisters.. we cant post on campus at all no flyers or letters... nevermind a table.. its hard but best way is to talk :)
