Online Magazines
How would you feel if the Adelphean went down to less issues a year, as some other GLOs are doing, or if it went digital?
Inspired by this thread: http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...threadid=72217 |
The organization has investigated this as options before...
However what I was told is that by sending out 4 times a year we get a cheaper rate than if it was mailed 3 times a year (different postal bulk rate apparently)... so from a costs savings it wouldn't give ADPi much in savings... I think I posted elsewhere that they are looking at posting some of the articles from the Adelphean online in a Word format... |
yeah we talked about this in a different thread..cant remember which at the moment.
Itd be nice to have archives online but I enjoy getting the printed versions as well...especially if I want to keep editions for various reasons. I still have my first adelphean I received as well as the one in which I made my first appearance. I'm also saving this last one not only because I was in it but Mrs Goddard's opening speech was very good and its helped me try to get through to my girls. |
Still not getting a copy of The Adelphean, none of my chapter sisters are.... and I definitely put on Pride Online that I want to receive it. :(
I like the printed version, I don't know, maybe it's being in college and the idea of getting mail (or well, ADPi getting mail). |
Boo to not receiving Adelphean. I too haven't received it and it bugs me.
I've already called EO about it. I guess I need to call again. |
We discussed a little of this here.
I am all for having some of the articles online, especially some of the photos - but I also love, love, love the magazine itself! Not having it available would really deprive a lot of the elder ADPis from a much-looked-forward-to treat, and I am thrilled when I visit a client and happen to see an Adelphean or any other sorority magazine! ETA: I do think that there should be a date on our website, stating something to the effect that "if you haven't received your Summer (Fall, Spring, Winter) edition of the Adelphean by (this date), please contact EO." |
