Sight Night
 

Hey if you guys have any old eyeglasses sitting around that you don't wear/use anymore...my sorority is doing Sight Night in conjunction with Lens Crafters. Basically, we're going to trick-or-treat for old glasses tonight. They will then be cleaned, checked, and sent overseas with some of LC's optometrists to be distributed to people who normally would not be able to see an optometrist or afford glasses. If you've got some laying around, you can take them to your local LC or you can send me a PM and we'll set something up through Tau Delta. Thanks guys, have a safe and fun Halloween.

I actually have a pair, let me know what I can do with them.

Also if anyone knows of a group collecting cell phones I have one of those to give as well.

Most police departments will take old cell phones - they program them for geriatrics to call 911 for emergencies.

While I think this is awesome and all, I would rather donate glasses that would stay in the US... like the Lions Club does.

Women's shelters for domestic abuse victims will take your cell phones too, to program them for 911.

Alpha Sigma Alpha is doing cell phone collecting too (for women's shelters, I believe)...so if you know any ASA's you could give it to them.

Paging Sheila... know anyone in the area I could give it to?

Seriously - I have a pre-LASIK stash of glasses that can be used!
