Has anyone taken the Ohio bar exam?

Hey GC attorneys- have any of you taken the Ohio bar exam? I'm taking WV in February then Ohio in July, but Ohio's application is a big fat pain in the ass. I was just curious if anyone had taken it recently.
Thanks!

I havent taken it yet. A friend of mine just found out that she passed on Friday. Do you have any specific questions? Is the application you are submitting the actual application for the test or the bar admission application. I just sent my bar admission application in last week and it was a pain in the bum.

A coworker in my office just found out that he passed as well. He spent a good 15 minutes today complaining about the application process.

I think I need to sit down and look through everything closely... the whole application to apply then the actual application confuse me. I'll be taking it in July (taking WV in February, after recently passing PA). I'm also annoyed at the character interview thing- my coworker drove to Columbus (from Pittsburgh) for a 5 minute interview- and he actually had a few spots on his record- at which he found out he could've had it in Cleveland (a good hour and a half closer!).

Yeah, the character application is a pain. If you are out of state, you should be able to do your interview at the closest Bar Association office. I go to school out of state (although I live in Ohio) and everyone here just does the interview at the Cincy office.

The problem with the application is that they want random stuff like traffic records from juvenile court. I have had problems locating stuff because (for instance) my traffic record as a juvenile was already destroyed.

The whole process is basically designed to try to catch you in a lie. They straight up said that there isn't much you can do outright to be denied the opportunity to take the bar. It's when they catch you not fully disclosing something that screws you over.

Good Luck!

Brandi
