Did anyone see it?
*getting out my NE pom-poms* They took me back to living in my mom's house with my bedroom wall covered in Right-On tear out posters of New Edition. :o :) I was shocked to see Bobby. Shirley Caesar tore it up!!:) Kirk Franklin's new song with the ol' school sample makes me want to get my skate on. :o :D Has Donnie Simpson made a pact with the devil? 'Cause I swear that brother hasn't aged a day. :p I started to tear up during the Luther tribute. Listening to some of these half-baked singers out now makes me miss him even more. :( |
Yes, I watched most of it. I'll have to go back and view the latter part of the show.
NE is always the bomb! They could have left Bobby where he was. I think Whitney was "acting". You didn't even attend Luffa's funeral. I did manage to see her during Shirley's performance. Um, don't play with God! LL...hmmmmmmm? Hammer...lmao That's all I can think of... ETAT: EWF  Was the chick singing with them Ronald Isley's sister-n-law? I think she's the other half of the JS duo. (smirk) |
I have to admit that this was one of the better awards shows this year.
NE still got it! And say what you want about Rra, Kells, (whatever he goes by), he put out some jams. He took me back with the Down Low Remix. I'm not sure if I'm feeling Mary J. Blige's new song, but I had to get up when she did the Real Love remix. |
In Case You Missed It.......
The BET 25th Anniversary Special will repeat Friday 11/4 at 8pm.

I would have rather seen Patti do that part about Luffa than Whitney. Really.

Good Show!!
NE/Bobby Brown- Excellent..... they DANCED/PEFORMED... I'll excuse some of the rough vocals... Let them be an example for all these lackluster group... R. Kelly was good last night.. he was feeling good...lol John Legend- Not a good song choice.. he doesn't have the voice to pull off a remotely good Luther tribute Snoop/Bow Wow/Parliament- TERRIBLE... I didn't see Madeline Woods(VIdeo LP) :( LL- he was part of the 80's tribute.. why the heck he do Headsprung?? Howard Hewitt- might still have the voice to work out an album Did anyone else notice Usher when he said his "first" video was Think of You...... correction Usher.. your first video was Call Me a Mack and your next video after that was Can U Get Wit It...(both of which were played on BET) |
I didn't see Usher. Call Me a Mack was his first video!
John Legend..hated it! LOL I didn't see Madeline Woods... she was the News anchor. That other chick was on Video Soul. What happened to the Unseen VJ (Video Vibrations)? Was Rachel (Caribbean Rhythms) there? What about Yolanda Gaskins (Midnight Love)?  Why is Leon always there? I think he and.... :o |
ITA on the John Legend comments. I'm more thankful that Rueben Studdard wasn't there to do a Luther song. *blech*
NE really needs to tour. I know I would come out for that. After Bobby did his solo, I was starting to get hyped up and thinking BBD was going to do "Poison", Ralph Trevsant singing "Sensitivity" and Johnny Gill closing it out with "My, My, My." That would have been HOT! I know he's broke so Hammer must have borrowed that fur coat from his grandma. :o Arsenio Hall's hair was really UNFORTUNATE. You really can't rock a twist-out when your hairline starts at the back of your neck. Howard Hewitt still got it!! Headlining all those gospel plays has kept his voice strong. I know the folks in the audience who were not raised on P-Funk were looking like "wtf!!! Is ol dude in a...in a diaper??!!??" LOL |
I want Howard Hewitt, Jody Watley, and Jeffry Daniel to reunite!
