My initiation is almost here!
 

I just got finished reading Trojangal's thread and saw that she is to be initiated this weekend (as well as newsororgal) . Her posts have gotten me even more excited about my initiation into Gamma Phi Beta next Friday, November 4th! The past 2 months of learning all about the history of Gamma Phi and getting to know the sisters of the local collegiate chapter have been a wonderful experience for me.

I"ll be inititated with 10 other new members and I hope it won't all be a blur! I remember on my wedding day, it seemed like I was in a haze the entire time. I wish I was able to step back and really absorb the day. I don't want to let that happen with my initiation! :)

Thank you everyone who has offered me words of encouragement over this past year. I really appreciate the kindness!

Just enjoy and don't worry about trying to remember all the details. You will take part in more initiations on the other side and those will be the time to learn all the details. :D

It'll be a Blur. That's what the next initiation is for though. I am looking forward to Gamma Epsilon's this month so I can go see it from the other side and see what I missed. I know there was a lot LOL

Just relax and enjoy it all, don't worry about missing anything. Your sponsor can clarify stuff later and you can always go watch again next semster.

I feel better knowing that I am not the only one who has a blurry memory of initiation! The thing that stands out most in my mind was yelling to the new collegiates "I WAITED 30 YEARS FOR THIS!!" I was that crazy excited.:)

Hooray for you! I didn't know that you had your initiation date! That is such wonderful news!

I had to laugh at your comment about the wedding..ours was the same way--so blurred and hazy and trying to remember all that happened.

Nope, my initiation date has been changed. It is still pending on when. I will update when I know something.

Are you kidding? I couldn't really sleep LAST night...I kept having Gamma Phi Beta songs going through my head. I had the wierdest dreams that were all revolving around Gamma Phi. I'm talking totally random dreams. I remember being in my office and I recieved a bunch of carnations from Chris Noth (the actor who played "Big" on Sex and the City) and I ran into R2-D2 at the gas station as I was on my way to the ceremony.

Anyone venture a guess as to what I watched on TV/DVD last night? :)
