I was born and lived until I was 12 on the Southside of Chicago and OMG there is no place I would rather be right now than in a bar there!!!

GO SOX!!!! 88 YEARS!!!!!! CHAMPIONS!!!

Go Sox, fan since I started following baseball at a young age some twenty years ago. Glad to see them do it finally!!! Hopefully the parade is this weekend so can see it.

That's awesome - I'm glad you got to see your team win a World Series.

I think they're doing it on Monday. It'll start at Comisky and end at Grant Park.

A hell of a year for the Sox - probably the best post-season pitching team that I can remember, to follow up a sick season on the mound. Congrats to the long-suffering, long-overshadowed southsiders

I've lived on the Southside for all of my 30+ years, was at Disco Demolition, and have season tickets for the Sox. This is the most amazing thing to happen to Chicago baseball. I'm still in shock, though...I was sure they'd fine a way to screw it up. Absolutely amazing!!

Funny how all the Cubs fan in Chicago (specially up North) all of a sudden became Sox fans.

Amy, you know I love you to death, but I also know that you are a Cubs fan. That being said, I'd be happy for any team in my hometown that won a national championship, so I'm not ragging on you too hard.

I'm just glad baseball is finally over. Meh.

I live in Houston and the past couple weeks here have been nuts!

I heard tickets were cheap to the games because people didn't care that much. Probably not as bad as when the Marlins were playing the Yankees, but less than the Sox?

The Sox are a great team except their fans come from neighborhoods like Bridgeport and Canaryville, which makes them prone to violence.

Yes I am a Cubs fan, but also a Sox fan. Just Cubs first. ;) HAppy to see ANY CHicago team win, as a rule.

Because, in general, baseball fans don't love the two teams from the same city - especially two teams with fans that dislike each other so much.
