As a tribute to LaBelle on this exceptional night, her hits will be performed by Big Boi from Outkast, Nelly, Kelly Rowland, Michael McDonald, Ashanti, Boyz II Men, Mario, Gerald Levert, and a rare reunion of LaBelle’s legendary 70’s group, "Labelle," all from Atlantis, Paradise Island Resort in the Bahamas.

Featured performances include:

Big Boi from Outkast singing "Ghettomusick"
Mario performing "Somebody Loves You" with Patti LaBelle
Ashanti performing "New Attitude" with Patti LaBelle
Boyz II Men singing "If You Asked Me To"
Nelly and Kelly Rowland performing "Dilemma," featuring a sample of Patti LaBelle's "Love, Need, Want You"
Gerald Levert performing "Here & Now" with Patti LaBelle (honoring Luther Vandross)
Michael McDonald performing "On My Own" with Patti LaBelle

LaBelle will also take part in a special performance of "Lady Marmalade" with Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash, back together as "Labelle" for the first time in five years.

I know they're trying to draw in the coveted younger viewership, but why not have her peers?

I'm glad too! Patti (IMO) hasn't ever received the acknowledgement she deserves.

When the guy (Fallon) did his version of Michael McDonald's part i was in tears...not that he sounded like him just mumbling the words...he is a mess.

Boys II Men: They were ok, i wanted to snatch that hat off of Shawn though..is it me or Wanya getting a bit large?

Wanya did pick up some weight; my best friend said he looked like he ate someone. I said he ate Mike, that's why there are only three now.. lol..I know that's wrong..

I thought it was the worst tribute show. Ever. :eek:

When I'm knocking on sixty's door, I hope I'm still holding it together like Nona (I just wouldn't wear that outfit:p ).
