Congratulations to the Houston Astros for giving the Lone Star State its first World Series Appearance.

Congratulations to the Chicago White Sox for giving the city of Chicago its first World Series Appearance in one helluva long time.

May the true battle now begin. Houston vs. Chicago, for the ultimate crown in all of Baseball.

I actually watched the last couple innings of the game last night, and never really cared whether the Astros or Cardinals won. :p But that being said, now that Houston is going to the World Series, I will hope that they win. Doesn't make too much of a difference to me (I will ALWAYS be a Ranger's fan) but it would be great to see a Texas team win.

I'm conflicted; it would be great to see the Sox bring home a long-awaited title, as the franchise has been through a great deal the past few decades. On the other hand, it would be great for Bagwell and Biggio to top off their Hall of Fame careers with World Series titles.

Guillen, Pierzynski, Jenks, Garcia . . .

There are tons more reasons to root for the Astros.

Go White Soxs bc we need you to break the Windy City cruse. The last time the Sox where at the big show was 1917 and for the matter you break it for the city the land slide will begin for the Cubs!!!!

By the way us Cub fans will cheer on the Soxs but if it where the other the Sox fans wouldnt cheer us on!!

I totally agree with this statement!! I know alot of Cubs fans that will cheer for the Sox (including me), but I don't know of any Sox fan that cheered for the Cubs two years ago in the world series (including my husband)!!

Boy, I'm pretty sure the White Sox played in another World Series since 1917 . . . if only something significant had happened in that other WS . . .
