What are the "big" sororities and fraternities on your campus?

Mine are:
Kappa Alpha Theta
Kappa Kappa Gamma
Delta Gamma

Frats:Theta Chi
Pikes (HOW come ppl always talk s*** about them? would anyone care to explain? at my school there are very cool, sweet guys!!)

In regard to the Pike situation....several years ago the Pikes at Florida State brutally raped two girls at one of their parties. That reputation is hard to shake even though the new members are outstanding.

At Clark Atlanta, Morehouse, Spelman, and Morris Brown...

The most popular sororities are
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc...they are all so BEAUTIFUL!....and very active, In fact CAU's Student Body Pres..is and AKA

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc....these are very "TIGHT" sisters who are about the business of changing the campus...The CAU graduate Stu. Body Pres. is a DST as well as Spelman's undergad Stud. Body Ass.

AS far AS Fraternities...

The most popular are ALPHA PHI ALPHA...brothers who are smart and who are always active as NAACP leaders

as well as PHI BETA SIGMA...these brothers also do a lot of work around the campus, but remain grounded and humble!!!

I believe this topic has been posted before. I suggest you read other topics and threads to find out. But to answer your question about the Pikes. I attend FSU and yes awhile ago they brutally raped and sodomized a girl here at school. Now when they were making proposal to the school like almost two years ago to get back on campus, I was kinda offended that the university would even allow them to get this far in the process. I mean come on, they did something unthinkable. However being a member of two fraternal organizations, I had to really think about this. To make a long story short, I couldn't condemn an organization based on the actions of a few brothers, or one chapter. Does any negative action hurt the fraternity, Yes! However we must also remember that people are gonna be people regardless of a fraternal affiliation. When we let people in to our orgs., we never know what we're getting. On the surface they might seem mentally stable but one never knows. So yes, they where Pikes that raped her in the Pike house. But still, they were all just sick individuals period. With or without Pike. I'm sure it's not in Pike manuals anywhere to go and rape and sodomize women. If it is, show me. So now they're back on campus, and they have a lot of new members. I know a few from classes I've taken. They are hell bent on changing the image they have around campus. Even though they are some of the smartest and strongest leaders around campus, people still look at them as rapist and they where still in high, middle, and elementary school when this incident happened like 10 or so years ago. I still have mixed opinions, but the guys there now have proven to the campus that they deserve to be there. And I'm pretty sure the Office of Greek Life and the IFC have put lots of restrictions on them for the first few years or so.

Thats all that I see....these Sororities and Fraternities are holdin it down by doin what that do best and thats servin the community!

To all wanna be greeks no its not all about who runs the yard(who's the most popular greek org.) or who has the largest membership, but solely which greek org. sponser the most contributive programs and functions that projects a postive image. Choosing a greek letter org. may be like shopping for a new wardrobe,you know what you want, you don't want, you don't need and what you can live without, most importantly what image would this outfit, per say, project and will I be satisfied with my results. Here the big fraternities are Sigma Phi Epsilon, Sigm Chi, and Sigma Tau Gamma.

The biggest sorority is probably Alpha Delta Pi.....It's sad, Chi Omega was swiftly overtaking the others.....

Well, I am proud to say my sorority, Alpha Sigma (local sorority) is the powerhouse of campus. Fraternity-wise, hmmmmm, probably the Pikes. And let me just say a little about these guys... they are the new guys on our campus, just colonized about four years ago. So, they do get the whole new kids on the block image. Also, since they are trying to build their membership, they are also known as a fraternity that is easy to get into. But, as far as I'm concerned, they are the best gentlemen, most intelligent, and have the highest GPA on campus.

heres the deal with pikes on my campus, they sign guys while they're still in highschool. normal rush for us in the fall is 20. and thats best except for pikes, they had 50 this fall. its always been like this, they don't even know each other. also their pledgeship was from last week of august to the last week of october. What a joke personally. Ours last from august to feburary. plus their ritual, is a hilarious, i don't like to let people know but i have your ritual. Out of kindness i don't let anyone see it unless i truly trust them. its not something to brag on. but i just to have to let them know. also, for the most part, they're tools, yeah there is a couple oc cool guys, but not a lot.
