Oldest chapter in continual operation

What chapter in your group has never shut down, DU's oldest chapter in continual operation is at Hamilton College in New York, founded in 1847 this group is 159 years old- never once inactive. The university taking over fraternity houses has not stopped this group, 50-60 members every year going strong.

Think about it how many voluntary associations have lasted 150 + years Greeks do something right.

Our oldest continuously active chapter is Alpha @ Longwood. :)

Longest of them all!

Gamma Chapter of Beta Theta Pi:

Founded: June 1, 1842

The Gamma chapter of Beta Theta Pi at Washington & Jefferson College proudly upholds the traditions of our organization and chapter, as have our brothers over the last 160 years. Gamma chapter carries the prestige of being the oldest fraternity established on W&J’s campus as well as the longest fraternity chapter in continuous existence of any fraternity in the world.

Omicron chapter at University of Tennessee - Knoxville. (1902)

ETA: Despite its chapter designation, Omicron is the 3rd chartered chapter of AOII. Alpha At Barnard/Columbia and Pi at Sophie Newcomb/Tulane preceded it. AOII allows the chapters to select their own names - we don't just start with Alpha and then Beta, Gamma, Delta, etc.

As far as I know, our University of Virginia Zeta (first) chapter has been continuously running since the fraternity's founding in 1869.

I'm proud to be a member of Beta Chapter of Delta Tau Delta at Ohio University, which was founded in 1862 and is our oldest continuously operating chapter.
