University of Nevada, Reno
Just heard that University of Nevada, Reno has opened or is opening up for NPC expansion. They currently have Pi phi, Theta, Tri-Delt and Delta Gamma. Delta Gamma came to campus just a couple of years ago. I do not think they have gotten to choosing who to present. I'll keep you all updated.

Correct. This appeared in the August 8th NPC Bulletin. Interested groups are asked to submit materials by November 1st. Presentations in March/April with a Fall 2006 colonization.

My mom was a Tri-Delt and my aunt a Pi Phi (and was their president for a while) at UNR. I know Gamma Phi Beta had a chapter when both of them were there (this is late 60's and early 70's). While I know this may be early and may not be information somone can share, but does anyone know when that chapter closed and if Gamma Phi may try to restart it?

Second question, I hope so too. :D |
I hear that UNReno is a tuff Greek Campus.
Any truth?:( |
It is a very small greek campus. A couple years ago a pike pledge drowned during a pledge event. But since then as far as I know things have been pretty quiet.
I only know this since it is the only other university in the state of Nevada, and I travel up there every other year for football (this being that year I was just there last month) |
any updates?
|
Nothing that I've heard. But they have some old chapters there and they seem to have a nice mix of groups.
|
I just found out that Chi Omega, Alpha Phi and Sigma Kappa have been invited to present.
|
any word?
any updates? have the groups presented yet? (I know that Alpha Phi did)
|
I haven't heard anything yet. I know we have presented also. I'll post here first when I hear something.
|
Good luck & best wishes to Chi Omega, Alpha Phi, & Sigma Kappa. All are awesome organizations to join the campus.
|
Ooh, good picks, UNR. :)
I am, of course, crossing my fingers for Sigma K... |
