Attack at Christian College
So, this happened a few days ago about thirty feet from my dorm window. I have my doubts about what really happened. There are SO many rumors going around and the police haven't been forthcoming with information. Honestly, I don't really believe what the girl said.
Police investigate attack on Nyack College student http://www.thejournalnews.com/apps/p...38/1023/NEWS07 SOUTH NYACK — A nighttime attack on a woman at Nyack College has shocked students accustomed to the Christian school's tranquil campus. Shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday, two students found the freshman lying in the woods near a parking lot and a graduate student dormitory, South Nyack-Grand View Police Chief Robert Van Cura said yesterday. The victim, a freshman from New York City, suffered minor injuries such as bruises and scratches, Van Cura said, but she was "emotionally traumatized." The Piermont Fire Department ambulance took her to Nyack Hospital, where she was treated early yesterday morning and released. Van Cura said police had not determined whether the woman was sexually assaulted and were treating the attack as a physical assault. The victim, the police chief said, was attacked from behind while returning from a volleyball game and didn't get a good look at her assailant. He said yesterday afternoon that the police were trying to locate a man who may have witnessed the incident. The man, described as 6 feet tall with a muscular build, was seen getting into a small or midsize red car and leaving the area of the attack shortly before the woman was found. At the time, he was wearing a light-colored T-shirt and khaki shorts.
