I've been to Vegas and if you want fun and excitement stay on 'The Strip', otherwise Vegas is pretty much like any other town.

19 days until I go to Vegas. I believe we are staying at the Fairfield Inn and Suites...definitely a step up from the Tropicana, lol.

Wow, you're out of a job and yet you can still afford to go to Vegas?

Because, see..I'm unemployed too -- and I really wanted to go to Disneyland with squirrely girl and greeklawgirl this week, but I knew that was out of the question, being that I'm unemployed and looking for a job and all.

I wanted to go to Vegas in Dec for my 21st birthday, but I couldn't find two other people to go and it was to expensive just for two of us :(

I looove Vegas. I went there this past Spring Break and stayed at the Bellagio and had an absolute blast! I might go back again this year, but stay at the new Wynn hotel. From what I've heard it's amazing. You'll love the shopping in Vegas!

We're also going to Vegas for Thanksgiving weekend. We've got tickets to see "Avenue Q" at the Wynn and have reservations for the Golden Nugget in Downtown Vegas...

I'm going to Vegas this Friday & coming home Sunday. Staying at Excaliber & pissed b/c I wanted to see Thunder From Down Under but apparenly, they're not playing this weekend. WTH???

Tip from a former Vegas resident... always check the show schedule online or in many of the freebie entertainment magazines... if the schedule says 'dark [insert day]' it means it's their day off. Many shows also go dark between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Thanks! I just checked the website & there are tickets now available but for the 10:30 pm shows. It's weird b/c when I first booked the trip, there were no shows & now there are. Pretty cool.

I'm going to vegas at the beginning of the month....an annual trip for me and my bookclub girls....

this is the first time I was able to afford it....I haven't been to vegas in ages and I am looking forward to it...I think we are staying at the Venetian Hotel
