COED FRATS
Coed groups haven't really worked, some elite campuses Dartmouth, Brown etc. have 1 or two coed groups, remnants of the 60's mostly ,some smaller Fraternities allow coed groups PSI U does ,but there just doesn't seem to be any push for coed social groups.
DU at Chicago tried to go coed in the 1970's but our convention turned them down every time on 90% negative votes. |
Frasorority!!
I'm assuming you mean a social.. ahem.. co-ed fraternity?
There are co-ed fraternities, but I think most are specialized (academic, religious, etc.) rather than social. Make a local! |
the basics
After you get an interest group together, write a constitution (you can ammend it later, but you need framework), decide on colors, symbols, crest, etc. Start having some brotherhood activities and then planning the pledging rituals and eventually the initiation rituals. Publicize, socialize, then hold your first rush.
ETA: Keep in mind I don't belong to a local; one of those folks could probably help you better. |
There is a co-ed fraternity at my school called APO...They are technically a "service" based fraternity, but they are national and could be what you are looking for.
