This is a response to the how soon is too soon thread . . .

But seriously, how long is too long to wait for sex?

What if your BF refuses to go past second base for months or years for whatever reason . . is that cool?

Oh, and when i mean how long to wait, I mean anything that ends in a climax . .. That way the "technical virgins" don't get confused.

Honestly, I think there has to be SOME physical interaction; that's a big part of what draws the line between someone being just a friend and someone being a girlfriend/boyfriend.

That doesn't necessarily mean it has to be sex, as there are a great many people who won't for religious/personal reasons. However, the physical intimacy has to be there, and I don't think it can wait more than a month or so.

Thats why I started the other thread. One of my friends has decided that abstinence is the answer to find someone who isn't a complete asshole to date. So far it's working for her...

I think it all depends on how much time you spend together, and how much you know about one another and feel comfotable.

I would say a few months was OK... but a year plus to get passed second base... either a guy really likes you and has some patience like you can't believe. Or he's an idiot and has no clue what he's doing.

Then your friend is really stupid. Why is it that girls who think abstinence works think they're not going to get an asshole by being greedy with the pussy? Don't you women understand that over 1/2 of the men out there are only nice to you because they want to fuck you? And if one of them REALLY wants to hit it, he's just going to wait a little longer than most if he isnt that experienced. Abstinence to weed out the bad apples is the biggest crock of shit I've ever heard of. It actually makes the worse guys want to hit it more just to break girls like that down and teach them a lesson. This one girl I was with once did that crap to me. I waited a month to hit it. I was like 18 years old. And when I did, I hit it all night long. After that I never called her again. A month later I sent her an email and asked her how she liked being denied for a month straight after feeling really good about a person. I told her not to do that crap to another guy or else the same thing will happen again. Never talked to her again.



Maybe the girl isnt sending the right message? Ever thought about that? If the girl doesnt act liek she wants to fuck its kind of hard to expect the guy to know whats up. If I didnt have a girl grabbing at my dick, looking me in the eyes with that "i want your shit" look or running around nakked....I wouldnt know if she wanted to fuck.

I think this sums up my opinion pretty well.

I would not wait more than a month to get to second base. I need the physical contact with someone that I am dating. I suppose the sex can wait longer... Strange though how people seem to want to wait longer when the person seems to be someone "special". This may sound bad, but I would probably sleep with someone sooner if I saw him as just a guy that I kinda liked and had fun with but didn't see anything long term happening. But, if I actually saw the person as someone with potential for longevity, I would be more inclined to wait longer.

This is actually a really common 'girl meme' - I've argued against it my whole life because it's bizarre self-denial with guys who aren't uptight about sex (see: every other thread about this, where 'if she sleeps with me I don't respect her!' is the cop-out of choice), but it's probably viable under the 'better safe than sorry' clause (and because of those retards previously mentioned).

I just find it hard to believe that between the "krystaal" drinking, the clubbing, the hunting, the DJing, the cooking, the yachting, the driving around in luxury cars, that you still have time to post 4000+ times on a message board...or is it over 10k now with all your names combined?

I'm going to clarify:

One of my friends shared her abstinence plan idea with me... I say good for her. If this is what she thinks it takes to find a nice guy to date... yeah for her. It might not work out and then again it may.... who knows.

I'm not saying the holding out is going to be the answer but I don't think jumping into bed on a first date is the answer either... I think there is a happy medium some where.

4. Clubbing and Cooking are things most people have done in their lives. I took music to the extreme with DJing just as you take video games to the extreme when you play in those PlayStation tournaments you enter at ChuckyCheese.
