After a talk with the girls we came up with the question of how soon is too soon to have sex in a new relationship?

Do you have a standard date # that you wait till?

Do you have sex on the first date?

Do you use sex as a weeding out process to find the right guy?

Yes, if I feel like it.

I can't say I've ever done this, but if the sex wasn't good, that would certainly weed out the guy.

Why wait? It's gonna happen anyways.

It really just depends, I guess. I don't judge anybody who's had sex on the first date, but I prefer to wait and let him chase me for a little bit. ;)

I haven't met anybody who's had a lasting relationship with a person they slept with on the first date. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I just don't know anybody in my circle of friends who have.

I'm sure it does happen... but the ratio is much smaller than those who didn't.

Valkryie...totally agreed with your viewpoint.

I've gone all the way on the first date more than once...in the case where one of them became a boyfriend, it was cool because we were very open with each other afterward.

As far as current relationships go....I really like this one guy I'm seeing. We're friends at this point, but if we do decide to hook-up I think it will be extra special cos those feelings will have had a chance to develop over time.

I'm by no means conservative in views toward sex, but I definitely wouldn't mind waiting for the new guy :)

My ex Marc and I waited for like a month....and trust me we both wanted it way before then. We saw each other naked on the first date. But it depends. If I have sex on the first date I usually am waiting for it to crash and burn, but that is just me.
