gents,
Today I finally got my badge and I was initiated 8/18/04. Who should I be mad at Nationals or Delta Nu? I still don't know about my shingle!

Glad to see you got your badge! As for it being late, that could be at the hands of many. A few places to look:

1. When were the papers sent in (by your President)?
2. Was the bill paid with the order (I don't know if they'll process the badge order if it's not paid in full).
3. How long did General HQ sit on it?
4. How long did Burr, Patterson, Auld sit on it?

I know ours were always late, because my chapter had a rule that "if you pledge class has outstanding dues to the chapter, we don't order your badges".....

As for the shingle, I'd guess the same above applies.....but, start with your Pres. first, then go to 800-800-BETA next.

We have the same rule.

If anyone in the pledgeclass has any outstanding debt, we don't send their info in. We have one kid that owes some money from last spring, and so his entire pledge class (16) doesn't have their stuff yet.

well, we paid all of our dues on time, but our pledge educator forgot to get us to fill out pledging cards. When the fall 05 class initiated, he realized this and we sent them in with that class. It was upsetting b/c the younger guys got their badges 3 weeks before we did. Nationals messed up with the shingles but delta nu messed up witht he badges

I can relate... It took 10 months for me to receive my badge. Apparently the shipment was sent somewhere else and subsequently lost. By the time anyone realized it, the company used to make the badges was closed for the summer... yada yada yada, you get the idea. Thankfully mine was correct when I did finally get it. Sorry to hear that your chapter is having problems with it.
