Finding and hosting a "Purse Party"
I did a search on here and on google and was unable to find the info I am looking for. So, I am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction!
I am interested in finding someone who sells purses through the Purse Party. I have talked to so many people that have never even heard of it in my town and thought my friends would like it. If anyone has any contact information just to get me started that would be great...I think my friends would really enjoy it...and me too! Thanks for your help! |
I'm pretty sure those are illegal since the purses are knock-offs. Altho my friend went to one and got some pretty cute ones.

The Cleveland police busted a purse party not too long ago. :p

Purse parties are HUGE here! But its shady as hell b/c some of the purses are real - and you're thinking to yourself, how did they get a real Coach purse?
check - One of my coach's that I bought I actually took in the Coach store and they checked it for me. :) But they are illegal ...... so be careful! I don't know how much trouble you'll get into too...but the sellers will get into trouble. Ask around your sorority or other sororities. B/c those are normally a COB or sisterhood event. |
I've noticed that there seem to be two different types of purse parties around here. One of them have purses that are almost identical to the real deal and could very well be the real thing and the prices are right up there with what you would pay for retail prices.
The other one that I went to had super cheap prices. I got a cute 'Prada-inspired' purse that I love for $25. The leather appears to be real. But, I doubt it. It doesn't say Prada or anything else, just a cute brown bag. |

Also, I graduated in 2003 and now live 4.5 hours from my chapter so I can't really ask those girls! |
I went to a Women's Expo yesterday and there was a company there that hosts purse parties. I wish I remembered their name because I would tell you to steer clear of them. The purses weren't that cute and looked pretty cheap. I don't think they were trying to copy anybody - just cheap looking purses. I'm guessing you're talking about hosting a party like the one on that episode of Sex and the City - sorry thats my only frame of reference. I remember watching that episode and thinking what a cute idea. Sorry that I can't be of any help.
