2006 Conventions in NOLA
 

Is anyone else's 2006 convention scheduled for New Orleans? Ours is, and as far as I know we are still going to try to hold it there, although maybe in a different venue.

I got inspired while watching W's speech (shut up Kath and Heather) and thought that if there are several GLOs down there at once or even in successive weeks, we should all devote a day to Habitat for Humanity or something else like that. That'll be around the time when everyone who isn't there has kind of put the Katrina devastation out of their mind because it's not on TV every day.

The Sigma Gamma Rho Boule was scheduled for NO in 2006. Right now there is not a final decision re: where it will be held.

Ours is not down there. I know for us, it would be extremely hard to devote a day to anything not related to sorority business. We already don't have enough time.

I believe the next Kappa Sigma Grand Conclave is supposed to be in New Orleans, but I could be wrong. That would be in 2007, though, not 2006.

The Association of Fraternity Advisors is holding their 2006 Annual Meeting (the 1st separate from NIC) in 'Nawlins...probably in late Nov.-early Dec.
